View: Discerning dichotomy in the promotion and use of ideology

Does there exist a dichotomy in the promotion and use of ideology?  Is this concept similar to the dichotomy between mysticism and science, which are respectfully, opposing world views?

What about the grey area that exists in both?  How do we understand the grey area in relation to the pros and cons of the promotion and use of ideology?

What is the definition of a grey area?  To me, a grey area is similar to a shell on the beach opened up to the sky.  This shell experiences the touch of sand and the touch of salt water, a dichotomy, or two opposing natural elements in relation to its surface.  In order to discover understanding in the difference between these two elements, a third element, rain water, causes an effect on the shell of washing its surface clean of the first two elements.  Now we know by the experience of the shell, that two identified natural elements interacted with it, sand and salt water.  We also know that a grey area or “combination” of sand and salt water also interacted with it.  We know that sand made the shell’s surface gritty.  And salt water made it wet with a coating of sea salt solution.  We also know that the shell experienced a “grey area” or this physical combination of both elements to its surface.  The revealing of what the shell experienced came in a third element, rain water, and its effect of washing the shell clean of the other two elements.   The revealing of the dichotomy in the difference between the first two physical characteristics of sand and salt water, is the demonstration of each element’s individual characteristics and their combined characteristics effects on the surface of the shell, and also the interaction of the third element, as it revealed the cleansing of the first two elements from the shell’s surface.

To me, the promotion and use of ideology has a similar play.  Ideology promoted in truth and used to be of service and for the greater good,  yields meaningful benefits to a greater number.  The demonstration of these benefits is a working construction of the ideology in social construction of our lives.  In contrast, ideology promoted and used only for the profit of a single individual or a small number, or a group, at the expense of any portion of mankind, reveals the less worthy means to its end.  A demonstration in this sort of social construction of an ideology would reveal its limited  use in the lives of a few, as well as how the limited use adversely effects the greater number of a social construction.  The results, or what was given by the promotion and use of an ideology, reveals the way in which it was used, either for worthy means or less worthy means.

Like rainwater reveals the individual and combined effects of sand and salt water to the shell’s surface, messages from our Creator through our act of prayer, reveal the way to understand whether or not an ideology is for our highest good.

The following poem is a view our Creator gave me from Heaven, on how to understand whether or not illusion is behind the promotion and use of ideology and that through prayer to Him, we can understand how to discern whether to accept the ideological concept or not, as having meaning to our lives important for our existence.  These messages from Him are made known to our consciousness through our higher selves.

Dragon Fly

Deep in the woods on a winter day, 2011, Mount Toby, Sunderland, Massachusetts

“Do you see me hovering in the treetops high?”
“I see you lovely Dragon Fly,” said I.
“You are made of snow crystals and God’s sunlight.”

Oh Dragon Fly propelling wind in the sky,
The wind of ideology, sent into earth’s eye,
Help me see between truth and lie,
Through the menagerie of illusions in our space time,
In our forests and structures, in the living of our lives.
Bring your iridescence close by.

Glide God’s beauty of love and light,
In your miraculous poised and speedy flight.
Take away the dark of night,
And reveal God’s truth for me in bright luminous light.

Protect me from projections of intent,
Swirling around the environment,
To confuse and mislead the living of my efforts,
Keep me safe through God’s messages sent.

Thank you God for sending Dragon Fly.
His bright vibrations caught my eye.
When I lifted up to YOU Lord, in the treetops high.
That snowy day on a wooded way,
You were just in time Lord, just in time,
To save me from a deceiver’s rhyme.

Glory to YOU Lord,
I am filled with your sunshine.

  1. I enjoyed both pieces. I think it goes well with the idea of dualism in someway but then if I follow your logic and apply it to Christianity, one would have to agree that evil and good both exist for our good, ideologically speaking. I hope I am making some sense here.

Thanks for the visit 🙂 you sould check the fool’s back pocket page aka caribbeanfool. I think you may like a lot of his old pieces and your mind might gladly dig into them 🙂

    • Yes yes and yes!! For without the knowledge of evil how would one know to turn to Christ for their salvation! That is what I’d hoped to convey in the shell metaphor as it could relate to there being a dichotomy in the promotion and use of ideology! Thank you so much fore reading and commenting on my post! Very very much appreciated! Cindy

  2. I enjoyed the comment above that “Life Between The Lines” made, “one would have to agree that evil and good both exist for our good.” As in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus comments that “we will know them by their fruits.”

Some reflection of the continuance of rising in faith to the LORD to help us understand consciousness projections that are subliminal in nature, brought me to Isaiah and his passage “The Parable of the Vineyard.”

Faith helps us discern when to stay away from relationship conditions that are not for our highest good.

    18 Woe to those who drag iniquity with the cords of falsehood, And sin as if with cart ropes;
19 Who say, “Let Him make speed, let Him hasten His work, that we may see it; And let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near And come to pass that we may know it.”

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who SUBSTITUTE darkness for light and light for darkness; Who SUBSTITUTE bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!
22 Woe to those who are heros in drinking wine; And valiant men in mixing strong drink,
23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the rights of the ones who are in the right.

    24Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble And dry grass collapses into the flame, So their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust;
FOR THEY HAVE REJECTED THE LAW OF THE LORD OF HOSTS.

  3. The pros and cons in understanding the promotion and use of ideology……

    1. When we listen to God in the matter of what is for our highest in terms of living with ideology in our existence, our discernment sharpens to the truth or illusion that ideology can present. This helps us be less vulnerable to creating our world by our own self deceptions. This is an advantage for us, because it means we are creating our lives in awareness that is worthy for us and our environment.

    2. A disadvantage of understanding ideology is the fact that it exists and can make the choices in our lives and the lives or our families very challenging. Do we want to follow a crowd whose belief systems we may not necessarily agree with? And yet, can we rise to the challenge within ourselves that this may actually be an opportunity for our own identity creation?
