Bluebird Joy

Bluebird Joy

The weather is warming.
The snows have vanished.
Have you heard the Bluebirds
Calling their song?
It’s sweet and high
And chortles along.

A grassy, wildflower field in the Connecticut River Valley.

A quiet marsh in the Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts.

In grassy fields,
By marshes with cat tails,
A happy song,
Welcoming rain and sunshine.

Bluebird in the backyard at the homestead. He loved Mom's clothesline!

On clothes lines,
Near wildflower roadsides,
Blue feathers
White and red breasts,
Brightening cloudy skies,

In bug gathering swoops,
Blue wings fly by,
For raising young
And keeping nests,
Filled with happiness,

Handcrafted Bluebird house by James Leach. Photo by James Leach.

A song of joy
From the ground
To the sky.
Over the pond
With confidence,

See the mom on the birdhouse? This pair has always been so enjoyable to watch!

A tweeting so real,
Near high, Spring prairie fields.
On wood stumps,
Fashioned with hands
Placed by western hiking trails.

Like a blue flower
In the sunshine
Is Bluebird Joy.

Blue as the deep blue sky, blue as a Bluebird high, is a happy blue flower in the sunshine!
