The Emulation Paradox

The Emulation Paradox

Late summer bloom of wild aster flowers.

Can be a season
Of respectful admiration,
But often turns
Into an envy cauldron.

When people see
The gifts the LORD
Has given thee,
They wonder
Why they fell short
In the scheme of things.

When we look too intently
Across the horizon of man,
To absorb some coveted
Character plan,
I’ll have to say this
A different way again!!!!!!!

We totally abandon
Our own freedom
Of identity creation,
From the LORD,
What we have been given.

When others embody
Vindictiveness and spite
To limit one’s freedom of expression,
Conflict presides within,
And eventually precipitates
Destruction for everyone.

On our material plane
It’s our choice
That ignites our train.
What kind of fuel
Will you burn?

That which sprouts greed
Leads to destruction.
That which sprouts love
Leads to salvation.

If we repent for our feelings
And actions of unworthiness,
We open the door
To receive the gifts
The LORD intends for us.

When we remain sleeping,
Feeding dreams
Of coveting another’s existence,
Earth  becomes
A burning hell for us.

Days are coming
When all that is available
For human consumption
Is that which sustains
Basic human needs.

Isaiah 13: 4, 11 Prophecies About Babylon

4  A sound of tumult on the mountains
Like that of many people!
A sound of the uproar of kingdoms,
Of nations gathered together
The LORD of hosts is mustering the army for battle.

11  Thus I will punish the world for its evil
And the wicked for their iniquity;
I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud,
And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.

Isaiah 24:13   Judgment On The Earth

13  For thus it will be in the midst of the earth,
As the shaking of an olive tree.

What would our population do
If the only clothing to don
Were sackcloth,
A gift from the LORD
Called destruction
Of the greed train.

Gone will be
Diamond tiaras,
And gold silk gowns,
Regal walks with stiff necks,
And perfectly starched tuxedos,
With roses in their front pockets.

What will be,
Is a humbling
Called the gift of humility
For God’s  humanity.

We are all vulnerable
To this proposal.
It’s a new day today.
What choice are we going to make?

    • Thanks so much for your wonderful comment! It is challenging to a degree to write both sides of the equation, the good and the not so pretty. But the not so pretty is needed to light up the good choices we have within us. Thank you for visiting.
