Piloting Faith

Piloting Faith

December 2007.  This is such a bleakly contrasting landscape. When I first look at it, I immediately deny its existence because its appearance has an invitation to convey despairing impossibility. And yet…..it is a “pink sky at night, sailor’s delight” and according to the catchphrase, good weather is forecast for the morning! 🙂

A sunset,
Sandwiched by darkness,
And when one gazes upon this,
A first perception grown from fear,
Can cause hopelessness.

But which reality
In our perceptions
Embraces more hopeful meaning
For this landscape?

In another view,
An evening sunset
Gone below the horizon,
A swathe of storm clouds
In the sky darkens,
The earth, moving
Towards night time.

The clouds will pass.
The earth will conceive,
It’s twenty four hour rotation,
And a new day
Will dawn new vibrations
When we allow them.

February 2008. Much rain during the winter flooded the farm fields in the Pioneer River Valley of Massachusetts. And the water brought a great crop of produce!

When we can choose to see
A different sky
And new cloud formations
How interesting and adventuresome
Is thought direction.

We don’t always need
A clear sky and bright sunshine
To know the beauty of it
In our imagination.

This way of thinking
Can bring the opportunity
For multiple manifestations
Of living.

Photo by Mark Leach October 2008. Man created something with his hands that moves with the wind of God, and brings energy to the population. I think its always amazing what we can do with our will that can benefit not only us, but the greater good, when we choose it.

They are always there
On the horizon.
Faith is what moves within us
This hardy transformation.
By our own will,
We are the pilot
Of our new destinations.

June 2008. What an opportunity to have a bird’s eye view over the landscape. If we do this in our imagination and allow our will to take hold, we culminate multiple perceptions and can choose the most worthy one within ourselves to lead us.

If you click on this picture, you’ll hear an amazing song of hope by Phil Collins. This music addition is an afterthought to my post, but so right for it!  I was cooking left overs tonight and rummaged through my CD rack and came upon Phil Collins, “No Jacket REQUIRED.” “We said hello goodbye is the last song on this CD. Wow, is all I have to say! Thanks Phil for your great music!! 🙂
