A Rhyme Of Time And Its Passers By

A lovely mountain pine meadow, Western Montana, May 2012

The grass smells clean
Fresh in new green.
The pines, healthy and pure,
Their scent a sheen,
Wafting on Western breezes.

In this meadow
The Earth compels
To write and reveal
An unraveling of threads
Woven by coyotes
In sheep’s clothing.

In places of living,
In places we tread,
In places we smell flowers
Where weeds grow as well,
Out of the Earth’s bed.

Melange of Western Prairie flowers and vegetation May 2012

Colors of deceptive intent
Made known,
LIke the Meadowlark
Singing truth,
Under the cover of
Prairie grass patches,
Concealed in pine branches,

One hears the most wonderful song echoing over the prairie fields, looking and looking to discover the singer! Lo and behold, its Meadowlark!

Meadowlark in the tip of a pine bed in the sunshine. And a very warm evening it is.   Western Montana, May 15, 2012

Until he lights up high
On the tip of a pine
I write and reveal
God’s reel
In the truth of time
And in between rhymes
Of history passing by.

Jeremiah 8:6-7  The Sin And Treachery Of Judah

6  I have listened and heard,
They have spoken what is not right;
No man repented of his wickedness,
Saying, “What have I done?”
Everyone turned to his course,
Like a horse charging into the battle.

7  Even the stork in the sky
Knows her seasons;
And the turtledove and the swift and the thrush
Observe the time of their migration;
But My people do not know
The ordinance of the LORD.
