More Than A Glimpse, Behold Him.

More Than A Glimpse

We are a tree in the path of nature’s eternity. If a tree grows up high, so can we, reach for Heaven through the clouds in the sky.

Steps in the sky,
Clouds layered on high,
Off in the distance,
As we live our daily wanderings
Up close in our own vision,
By and by.

What of us
Is seen by our eyes,
In conscious reality,
To progress ourselves
Into communing lovingly
With our very own souls,

Who light us up
When we flutter our wings
To a step’s conceiving
Of transcendence,
In nurturing
Our material existence.

This butterfly has Zebra stripes. A Zebra Swallowtail?  Very beautiful indeed.  On top of a rocky outcropping it was fluttering around.  June 2012.

A buoyancy of light
In our breathing, intending,
Feeling, thinking, doing,
Transmitting and receiving,
Peaceful respite,
Our earthly living.

We are here to live,
To learn and to grow
In God on Earth.
Can we see this message,
Perhaps, in a photo?

A photo looking back at us.
A photo taken
With the help of God
Because we’ve chosen
To be present
And listen
For His direction, thus,

When our eyes are open
When our ears can hear
A music of God’s spirit
Will cascade like a waterfall
And pour out of our hearts,
All through us, everywhere,

And we will see ourselves
Through the eyes of God,
In our frail humanity,
In our own inspiring,
Joyful creativity.

We will know
That these steps
In the sky,
Off in the distance
By and by,
Are really within us
We are Heaven on Earth,
We are God’s time.

A figure of speech, this writing?
Only if that is what
We wish to believe.
But if we help ourselves
To sense the spirit of God
Between the lines
Of conscious thought,
Between the material wanderings
In our lives that we’ve wrought,
Then we will see Him,
And be ready.

Psalm 65:8-13  God’s Abundant Favor To Earth And Man

8   They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

9   You visit the earth and cause it to overflow;
You greatly enrich it;
The stream of God is full of water;
You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth.

10  You water its furrows abundantly,
You settle its ridges,
You soften it with showers,
You bless its growth.

11  You have crowned the year with Your bounty,
And Your paths drip with fatness,

12  The pastures of the wilderness drip,
And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.

13  The meadows are clothed with flocks,
And the valleys are covered with grain.
They shout for joy, yes, they sing.
