Beanstalk

Beanstalk in the sunlight

Beanstalk in the sunlight

A village

Is the beanstalk,

It’s vegetation

The framework.

The vine is the road,

Growing skyward.

Let's call the Pole, Jack. His one eye to the right of the pole and his smile are loved by vines.

Let’s call the Pole, Jack. His one eye to the right of the pole, and his smile are loved by vines.

The structure is the pole

Standing static,

A sentinel,

Majestically inconspicuous,

While the community

Scrambles dynamically,

Upward to…

Scientific acumen,

A linear existence,

Yet no resistance

To the spiritual sequence

of Omni-presence.

A bright white bean flower in the sunlight.

A bright white bean flower in the sunlight.

So goes the truth of life,

Oxygen, carbon and hydrogen’s

Birthright.

Fruition is complete,

In the natural state,

A street,

To heaven.

Sun lights existence.

Voila, photosynthesis.

Rain drops moisture.

Roots drink sustenance.

Yep. Getting to be about time to pick those beans.

Yep. Getting to be about time to pick those beans.

God brings harvest

By His blessing

Of weather’s imminence,

And to our table comes produce,

To eat with exuberance.

I don't know about you but, out here in the hills, pole beans are very much looked forward to at Summer's apex.

I don’t know about you but, out here in the hills, pole beans are very much looked forward to at Summer’s apex.

Why?

From the garden

To the table,

Tasty green beans,

With sliced almonds

And fresh oregano,

Cooked on aluminum foil,

Over the grill

But coated first

With salt, pepper,

And olive oil.

Tender crisp

With a smoky twist,

Totally delightful,

These green beans

From the skyward village of…

“Beanstalk.”

Behind the Scenes:

A Reading From The Book Of Genesis “The Creation,” 1:11,12

11 Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation; plants yielding seed and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them,” and it was so.

12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
