Plagiarism’s Mock Up

In plagiarism's mocking, we are the ones mocking ourselves. And oh, how we create more low self worth.

In plagiarism’s mocking, we are the ones mocking ourselves. And oh, how we create more low self worth.  The wild plant, Butter and Eggs, or Common Toadflax.

Is plagiarism’s hook

A vulnerability

To laziness,

Taking the easy way out

From doing

The required work,

To succeed

From our own

Identity’s intelligence?

Or is it the trap

Of low self worth,

Where our formed

Opinion,

Is that another’s

Ideas and words

Are better than

Our own original

Birth

Of human consciousness?

It seems that

To lie, cheat and steal,

Is an accepted form

Of behavioral science

In today’s social net.

Too many paths exist,

That allow for

The educational creation

Of hidden circumstance.

Either way,

We give away

Our own potential,

To become a fraud,

A false endeavorer.

If we get caught

In plagiarism’s pit,

Shame turns the video reel

In public venues.

Do such beliefs

Truly exist

That it’s possible

To hide from our own

And the law’s

Handcuffs?

Maybe for a while,

However,

We are in the

Age of Aquarius,

Where karma turns

Quickly.

Does not judgment come

When we least expect it?

I rest now,

As a sightseer

From afar,

Not in a judge’s civil robe,

Or a victim’s dress.

I watch the field

Of stealth,

From light’s precipice.

There are many

Disguises of light

Covering

Plagiarism’s quest.
