An Autumn Cooking Spin On Politics

Nothing like a roast chicken on a crisp autumn day in the western hills.

Nothing like a roast chicken on a crisp autumn day in the western hills.

Off in the forest

Woodpecker calls its shrill notice,

Company’s coming

To the environment.

4 bluejays

Fly to a structure,

Flexing wings

And hopping tendons.

Food is seen,

By dowels, porches,

And landing platforms.

Artful movement

Sneaks in behind,

Rival lines,

Entrapping a region

With stealth and lies.

It’s goal is to upset

Belief systems long tried.

It perceives a power,

A value called life.

Exploitation is keen,

Provocation so ripe,

A partisan play,

A competitive strike.

So silent these mole holes

Through everyday life,

Because….

Political trains

Are gathering steam,

Opportunities considered,

Deployment latency….

Perceived.
