Wow, do you remember the jet stream over North America about two months ago? That lovely drifting mass of air current bringing us cloudy rain storms upon cloudy rain storms, cold temperatures and a question as to whether we’d ever see summer? How can we complain about Ol’ Man Weather? With every storm of precipitation he somehow eases our spirits with a gift in tow! The wildflowers all over the Rocky Mountains and the Northwest this year are spectacular!
A Walk Under Big Sky
Evergreen cologne
Perfumes the dirt road
Pine and spruce
Scenting over me slow
A lovely walk in the Rattlesnake Reservation, Missoula, Montana
Halting my senses
I stop and say hello
Makes me weak
I can’t row
Just relax in happy tow
Walking on a country road
West of the Rockies
Ol’ man weather
Has given us a show
Blanket Flower and Wild Lupine On Mount Sentinel, Missoula, Montana
Wild Yarrow
Overlooks Missoula
On Mount Sentinel
Where prairie beauty
Is heavenly glow
Wild White Yarrow Dances With Clouds over Missoula, Montana
What colorful posies
Wild Lupine and Roses
A walk so sweet
By a gurgling creek
Fast in flow
Caressed By The Wind On A Mountain Prairie Meadow, Wild Lupine, Missoula, Montana
Such music to my ears
With western bird song
And no cawing crows
How sweet it is
This natural show.
